About Big Bully...

Big Bully Artist/ Producer Bio

Born in Savannah, GA Feb 20, 1980’ish

Moved to PG/ DC/ VA in the early-mid 80’s

Went through some things and hit a few states….

And now I'm in Phoenix, AZ !!!! The hottest place in America !!!

And I'm Silent ALwayz the hottest up and coming producer outta the SW.

I also brag that cant no producer spit better than me, but I know it isn’t a producers job to get in front of the mic.

I have always listened to Music as long as I can remember, NKOTB, New Edition, Milli Vanilli (forget I said that), Michael & Janet, I mean the list goes on, I was at all the concerts twice each time they came in town.

Now I do remember, listening to everything, I loved Digital Underground, but it was 1993 when rap called me, I remember clearly. I went in my older cousins room, and she had this tape (remember those???) and it said Parental Advisory on it, I had to hear it…

Dr. Dre The Chronic – Arguably one of the greatest albums of all times. Blessed my ears with what I didn’t know was more than just a love for listening.

1994 Snoop came on the scene with Doggystyle, and I just had to hear it more because of the Parental Advisory, but also because I now love Dr. Dre so much. Snoop I want you to know that you got me in trouble, dude. My grandpa has never laid hands on any of his grandkids, and I'm tellin you when I told Grandpa that I don’t give a fuck what he says, I'm listening to Snoop, he smacked the hell outta me, I'm a get ya back uncle…

And than came the icing on the cake. NOTORIOUS B.I.G. !!!

Ready to die, hit the scene months later and was also, on my older cousins shelf (this cousion works for Radio 1 now). I love that album, hip-hops greatest !!! After hearing Big put his twist on the rap game, I said, damn that I'm a rapper !!!

I mean immediately I began to write and freestyle, and I went hard, wrecking neighborhoods and my high school, thats also when the Big Bully Organization was formed, not initially a record label, we took care of anyone problems as a public service.

Around 1998 I was shipped to NC to live with my Pops, and that’s when I lost my hustle game and started playing the streets real heavy. I learned a lot those years, and I don’t mean about music, even though it was during that time that I wrote the most often, attempting to escape reality.

It didn’t happen, reality still set in, I had to leave NC in 2000 and made my way back up to PG/ DC/ VA. The streets needed me, and I needed the streets. After my 2 years of solitarity, and working hard on my lyrics. I hit Branchwood with a new swag and the homies was feeling, I mean shit, I had 5 years PLUS in the game writing by than. I felt I needed to record them somehow, but where do I get a beat from. And that’s when I met Detox, my homie from CA. He came through with a .38, Zoom RT-123, and Fostex 4 track tape recorder, lol… He put me down on game. Showed the hood how to get serious about our music.

After that meeting, I decided to explore digital recording, and we picked up, what was than Sonic Foundry Acid 1.0 for $20. That’s when I started making one shot beats, while I perfected the use of the beat machine. I also got my first taste of engineering at that time. But had no idea until much later. We recorded our first CD, Stormy Weather presents Rain Da Albulation. It was hard, got its nods in the streets, but dealing with shabby friends, Rain or is his name MFamous now, wanted all of the spot light. Didn’t believe we had the talent, but still wanted to use our talents to progress his effort, CUT HIM OFF

And made some songs about him to, but that’s for another interview.

Fast Fwd 4 years, a few dead homies, a few homies looking at Life, 25 rhyme books later, and on my second beat machine…   I have taken my life in a new direction. I have left the streets alone, the only reason I continued to make beats from 2002-2004 was because my homeboy Rob (rip) paid me for every beat I made, he didn’t want me to stop. I left PG/ DC/ VA, tired of the same ole drama, same ole niggas, same ole life. It was time to grow. And how could I do it in DC? I left off to Phoenix, AZ where I went to college for a short stint, but it wasn’t for me. I was out here going to parties and wrecking em with freestyle sessions. I was making beats, and holding nice cipher sessions, but I wanted more. I worked, I could afford new equipment, so I talked to the audio professor at my school and found out what was needed to build a small production setup. And it all started from there…

3 more beat machines later, and now I have a library of over 50 beats available online. I have songs currently being sold in iTUNES. I have broke the top 100 in Soundclick over 10 times. I am tribe leader of all relavent tribes on Betarecords. I have done a few shows, nothing serious, but I do have stage experience. I love music, I love music, I love music !!!! I'm everywhere, ya heard everywhere. 30,000 hits in 2008 !!!!

2009 I have sold my first few beats, been colabing with niggas online, I make beats all day everyday, and I am looking to get on in the industry as the go to guy for that unique but hot sound. Sounds hotter than Phoenix, AZ.
